My 2011 Ready-to-be-read booklist

I reached my reading quota last year (15 books) and I’m challenging myself to read more than that!

I feel blessed that I enjoy reading so much and there’s a lot of good books to read, and even more because even if 2010 hasn’t left, I already have books lined-up for reading! These books are given by friends, colleagues and family as Christmas presents. Tis the season!

Fallen: The Event, Lauren Kate Live in Manila

On my way home, I can’t help but noticing the huge poster of Fallen and Lauren Kate in Glorieta National Bookstore’s glass wall. Lauren Kate, the renowned author of Fallen series is coming to town, yey!

Fallen: The Event will be held on November 27, 2010, 5PM at Atrium, The Podium, brought to us by National Bookstore. To get invites, you first need to buy a copy of lauren Kate’s books Fallen and/or Torment in National Bookstore until the event proper. You could find a paper at the back and that will serve as your invitation.

There’s also a chance that Lauren Kate will sign books depending on the number of participants. If many showed up, the names will be raffled and only those will get their books signed. As for me, I don’t know if I could attend since my Lauren Kate book’s are bought in Fully Booked or Powerbooks and I do not want to buy another copy. But then I wanted to see her still, I’m a big fan of YA authors.

I just wish that they’ll also get Becca Fitzpatrick here in Manila and I’ll be 100% sure in my attendance.

Becca Fitzpatrick’s Crescendo

I just finished reading Crescendo this weekend and I super love it! In Hush, hush I only love Patch, here in Crescendo I love them both!

The story continues where Hush, Hush left, Patch becoming the hottest guardian angel in town and Nora madly in love with him, and yeah Patch is also madly in love with her. The story took turns and I get annoyingly curious by how things are happening. At one chapter Patch and Nora are professing their love for each other, then Nora suddenly breaking-up with him, and then making out in a dream, then more shouting and suspicions and again lots of making out. The character’s presentation are all good by the way.b You’ll get irritated with Marcie flirting hard with Patch and Scott making his deadly moves towards Nora. You’ll love to have Vee as your bestfriend, and Rixon’s devilish acts won’t get noted until the last chapters of the story. And I guess if given a longer introduction we’ll all hate Hank Millar.
