Haha! After 2 weeks of reconstructing css and designing images I finally finished my new and personal multiply theme!

Dati I use available layouts but then this thought struck me “i’m a web developer for pete’s sake and i layout other’s sites, why not do it on my own sites?” Hell yeah! A little bit of designing and a bit of CSS then my site is all done.
It’s not as easy as 123!
- Think and create your background and header image. This is the hardest part for me since I’m not born creative/designer. Thanks to Macromedia Fireworks 8, the resizing, cropping and editing of images was made easier for me.
- Modify CSS. For non-experienced they may need extra-effort to work this out. As for me, here’s how I did it using Firefox browser (Firefox rocks!).
- From available layouts, choose a layout that will be use as framework for your layout.
- Open 2 tabs for your multiply account. For the first tab open Custom CSS, this is where you’ll put most of your css.
- On the second tab, this is where you’ll know what css class to modify. How? using Firebug, a Firefox add-on! If you have, great, if not, install it! You can get it from here.
- Well just learn how to use firebug. After some hovering and editing, you’ll get the design you wanted!
And after some few changes in borders, fonts, backgrounds… tadah! you now have your personalize layout like mine.
